Joshua Walker is a
professor at
Stanford University and is considered a pioneer in the emerging field of
computer forensics. Joshua Walker is president and co-founder of
Lex Machina, Inc. and has spent the last 18 years building legal data collections, often under difficult or unprecedented conditions. After graduating from Harvard and the University of Chicago, he traveled to Silicon Valley and advised a variety of large technology companies grappling with complex M&A and intellectual property issues, including Skadden Arps and later Orrick Herrington. During this time, he co-founded CodeX, the Stanford Center for Legal Informatics (the premier law and computer science lab in the United States) and co-taught an interdisciplinary workshop at the Stanford Intellectual Property Exchange. He is Executive Director of the Stanford Intellectual Property Litigation Clearinghouse.
